El Tajin is a pre-Hispanic archaeological site located in the central Mexican state of Veracruz, about 50 kilometers from the Gulf of Mexico. The name El Tajin means thunder in Toltec and is an area that has a lot of intriguing structures. Excavation and restoration of just twenty of the sites 150 buildings have been completed so far.
