Nota de resumen, etc.	In February 1986, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris presented the first official exhibition devoted to the work of decorative artist and sculptor Diego Giacometti. This display of plaster, clay, and bronze, which flowered over many years in the shadow of his great older brother, Alberto Giacometti, reveals a fabulous world where cats, birds, and plants appear on utilitarian objects and items of furniture like fairy-tale characters. Since then, interest in the man who modestly signed his works "Diego" has continued to grow. His work has influenced an entire generation of young artists and collectors
