This is collection of poems that Ron has written over one season that he spent living in has cabin in Calais, Vermont. At the heart of the book, in the middle, physically, is a nine-page (in ms) prose piece called 'Completion,' where he's writing in a Japanese notebook with that name. It's a very thoughtful, contemplative piece, where he ponders mortality, consciousness, and time, especially as it concerns decades long relationships with friends and family. Throughout his thoughts, he sprinkles observations about the cabin, the pond he can see out the window, and surrounding nature.
