Berthe Morisot is a lesser known Impressionist painter. However, her close relationship with Eduoard Manet and other artists of the period make her historically significant. More importantly, among her paintings are some of the most extraordinary works of the period. Women were the most frequent subject of her art. Stuckey's book is illustrated with over 150 color plates. This book is a must for anyone interested in the Impressionists.
