520 _aDong Kingman (sometimes called Don Kingman) was a 20th-century watercolorist and winner of endless awards in that medium, including two Guggenheim Fellowships. He painted mostly cityscapes from around the world in a bold, colorful style that was his own combination of Asian and Western. His work can be found in many museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was also tremendously popular around 1950s-80s, even joining with Hollywood to create main titles for major films such as "Flower Drum Song."
